Blog Post 33: Concept 2 - Helical Cam Shaft Motion Study

The turning mechanism for my second concept has been modified and is now a helical cam shaft that converts linear (downward) force to rotational force. You can see how the cam is positioned on the inside of the top section to match both the path and angle of the rotating rod's helical path:
